Birmingham Clinic Saturday 9th September:

Built in 1858 and Britain's oldest swimming pool, the Woodcock Sports Centre at the Ascot University in Birmingham provided host to the Birmingham Swim Smooth Clinic on a glorious day on September 9th 2006.

The centre staff were excellent and facilities superb, allowing us to run a really successful Swim Smooth Clinic that kick-started the Autumn 2006 UK Swim Smooth Clinic series.

Duncan Hough, coach at the Birmingham Running And Triathlon Club (BRAT), assisted Paul Newsome and Stuart Ashley (currently coaching at Bath University) in the delivery of the Clinic and we would like to thank Duncan for his superb input during the day which was highly commended by the swimmers.

We would like to thank Lawrence, Claire, Lesley, Mark, Graham, Frank, Antony, Nick, Jonathan, and Phil for attending the course and for providing us with the following reviews:

The Birmingham Clinic was our first of the Autumn 2006 series and also the first time we had included three practical pool sessions including the two "pre and post" video analysis sessions. The swimmers found this very beneficial and it is a format that we shall be maintaining for the future.
