Our world famous one-day swim clinics are for all abilities of swimmer, from those capable of swimming 200m continuous freestyle to elite-level triathletes. Our focus is on helping you achieve enhanced efficiency, propulsion and open water skills regardless of your starting point. We utilise full video analysis above and below the water followed by individual stroke correction to get you swimming faster.

New Stuff:

We have a great new schedule of events, techniques and tips lined up at each Clinic fresh from Australia. We're also really excited about our fantastic new video analysis system which will ensure some fabulous footage of you all above and below the water. Video analysis for stroke correction is quite simply THE best way to improve your swim stroke and really understand what makes you faster in the water. We'll be able to provide each swimmer with a DVD copy of the day's footage for future review as well as one of our fabulous Swim Smooth silicon swim caps, now in BLUE (male / universal) and PINK (ladies). Cool.

So, whether you've attended one of our Clinics in the past, or this is your first time, you can be assured that the Swim Smooth team have spent the last 9 months (since our last trip to the UK) working to develop the very best new techniques and ideas to help you improve and enjoy your swimming this summer. Timetable for the day:

Due to the difference in lane space availability at the various sports clubs and swimming pools that we use around the country, it is necssary to offer a slightly different time-table at each of the Clinics. The content, however, of each Clinic is universal and the same at each venue. For 2008 this will follow the structure below:

• Meet and Greet (15 mins)
• Pool Session # 1 - Video Recording above & below the water with friendly Peer Review task (60 mins)
• Change and any final registrations (15 mins)
• Theory Session # 1 - how to identify what makes and efficient freestyle stroke - the "5 Classifications" (45 to 60 mins)
• Morning Break (15 to 30 mins)
• Video Analysis Review and highlighting of 3 key aspects of YOUR stroke that will make YOU swim better & faster! (60 mins)
• Lunch (30 to 60 mins)
• Theory Session # 2 - how to develop enhanced rhythm and timing in your stroke (30 to 45 mins)
• Theory Session # 3 - how to best plan your swim training program for triathlon / open water swimming, including land / core work, includes practical component (30 to 45 mins)
• Afternoon Break (15 to 30 mins)
• Theory Session # 4 - how to develop a more effective open water swimming style (30 to 45 mins)
• Pool Session # 2 - keeping things as simple as possible, we show you how to transfer what we've learnt about YOUR stroke in the classroom, to making YOU swim better and faster in the pool. This is not a hard swim session, but will utilise various drills and techniques specific to your own stage of development (2 hrs)
• Summary & Farewell (15 mins)

Costs:

Cost per person for the 1-day Clinic will be £150.00 and includes light refreshments, and a DVD of the day's footage as well as one of our unique Swim Smooth silicon swim caps.

Can't make it?

Swim Smooth will be in the UK in July 2008. If you are unable to attend these dates, or you would like to request either a full clinic or evening seminar for your club, or even a 1-2-1 video analysis session for yourself please click on the respective link, or contact us for more details. Please note, that outside of set Clinic timetable, it is assumed that the interested club, group or individual will make their own booking arrangements at their local venue - your help on this matter is much appreciated!

Coaching Opportunities:

Everytime we tour the UK, we seek the knowledgeable assistance of local swim and triathlon coaches to assist at the courses. We find this helps to both create an excellent Clinic learning environment and provides the local area with a bit more of a technique impetus post-Clinic.
