Smooth 1&2-day Clinics |
The Swim Smooth 1-day Clinic
provides you with the opportunity to learn how to develop
the efficiency of your freestyle stroke in a group environment
and with the support of our experienced coaches. Maximum group
size is 12 with a coach:athlete ratio of 1 to 4. Featuring
a "before & after" video analysis review session,
a full practical pool technique session and structured core
and flexibility routines, the Swim Smooth Clinic has delivered
some excellent results and satisfaction with over 300 athletes
in the last 12 months. Check your
country's schedule today. In some locations we will
run a second day which will be focused on open water skills
development at a suitable open water venue. An additinal fee
is payable for the 2-day Clinic and will be priced upon a
case-by-case basis. |

Video Analysis |
The Swim Smooth 1-2-1 Video
Analysis session is the 'flagship' of our individual programs.
This 75-minute consultation session is the prelude to our
1-2-1 Stroke Correction session. Here the swimmer receives
full under-water and above-water video analysis utilising
the excellent SharkEYE video system.
The swimmer is filmed from a variety of angles and then detailed
with a full critique of their stroke and provided with a full
written analysis of their stroke via email to work upon. The
swimmer is given one or two focal points to work on and shown
a couple of drills / techniques that are specific to the swimmer
that will deliver improvement. It is highly recommended that
this session is followed with a 1-2-1 Stroke Correction session
within 7-days of the 1-2-1 Video Analysis session for best
results. Think of this session as the consultation and pre-education
to enhance the experience and learning of the 1-2-1 Stroke
Correction session. |

Stroke Correction |
Following on from the 1-2-1
Video Analysis session, the swimmer should take a 1-2-1 Stroke
Correction session within 7-days to work upon what was identified
with the video work, to really deliver some tangible, practical
stroke correctional work in the pool. The swimmer's stroke
will be broken down into its component parts and a structured
plan of drill technique work specific to the swimmer will
be applied during the 60-minute session. The benefit of having
already completed the 1-2-1 Video Analysis session and having
received the respective critique will really come to the fore
in this service. |

DVD Tutorial |
The swimmer may opt for the
additional Personalized DVD Tutorial following on from the
1-2-1 Video Analysis session. This service provides the swimmer
with an edited copy of their swimming footage expertly transferred
to DVD with voice-over instruction of areas to work upon for
their stroke. This is an excellent archive / educational facility
for your stroke. Swimmers should allow up to 14-days for delivery
for the Personalized DVD Tutorial. |

Swim Smooth Doctor |
The Online Swim Smooth Doctor
is an excellent service for those swimmers whom are unable
to visit Swim Smooth for a critique of their stroke. Using
our full filming instructions
the swimmer provides some footage of their swim stroke
via email or DVD in the post for analysis by Head Swim Smooth
Coach, Paul Newsome. The footage will be critiqued and the
swimmer sent a detailed written breakdown via email of their
stroke with suggested areas for improvement. An excellent
resource for those already familiar with the Swim
Smooth DVD Boxset drills. |

Seminars |
Not everyone can afford the
time to attend a full-day Swim Smooth Clinic, and some clubs
/ groups would require that the Swim Smooth service be available
to more than 12 of its members at one time. As such we offer
a structured 3.5hr program ideal for scheduling in the evening.
Maximum attendance is 25 people. The Clinic is broken down
as a 60-minute theory session, a 30-minute video analysis
session, a 60-minute drill technique session, with a final
45-minute review and summary session. The hosting club is
responsible for organising and securing the host venue and
its associated costs. Swim Smooth will provide all the necessary
AV equipment and video analysis tools. |
