Our team started using OpenVPN Access Server about a year ago when more people began working remotely, and at first the pricing seemed completely reasonable. But now we’ve added more users, extra cloud infrastructure, and suddenly the monthly costs are much higher than expected. I still like the platform because it’s reliable and easier to manage than some alternatives we tested, but I’ve recently started looking into possible discounts or long-term pricing options. During my search I found this
and got curious if anyone here has actually used something like that before. Did it genuinely help reduce costs or was the difference pretty minor?

I haven’t personally used OpenVPN Access Server in production, but I’ve noticed that with most infrastructure and security tools, the “real” cost only becomes obvious once a company starts scaling. At small scale everything feels cheap and simple, then later you realize you’re also paying for maintenance time, integrations, and support. Honestly, even outside VPN software, annual billing and consolidating services usually ends up saving more than people expect over time.
