I’ve always ridden my bike to every event, but this year the rally is on the opposite side of the country, and the idea of spending three or four days in the saddle just to get there doesn’t sound fun anymore. That’s hotel nights, fuel, extra tire wear and a ton of fatigue before I even hit the first group ride. I’d rather arrive fresh, but I’m honestly nervous about letting someone else move my pride and joy.
