What videos we keep coming back to
I’ve been curious about something lately — why do we always end up rewatching certain types of videos even when there’s endless new stuff out there? For me it’s kind of unpredictable. Sometimes it’s short funny clips, sometimes it’s long explanatory videos, and sometimes just random “nothing special” content. What about you — do you have a specific type of video you naturally keep returning to?

I think I do, but it took me a while to notice the pattern. I’m usually drawn to
videos that don’t demand too much mental effort, especially after a busy day. Not necessarily boring ones, just steady and easy to follow. I used to think I needed constant variety, but actually I realized I prefer consistency more than I expected. When the tone of a video is calm and predictable, I can relax while watching it instead of constantly switching or checking how long it is.
